Polar bear are the largest land meat-eater in the world and the largest of the bear family. They are well suited to the cold Arctic ice and snow.

Ursus Maritimus is the scientific name for polar bear which means sea bear. However, in Denmark and Norway, they called polar bear isbjorn which means the ice bear. The Russian also called polar bear as a different name. beliy medved which represent the white bear.

The Ursus maritimus (Polar Bears) can be found in Arctic Regions like Alaska and Northern Canada. One of the most popular spots to do some polar bear watching is Churchill, Manitoba in Canada.
